Scenic range of hills, paddy fields and beauty of Nila blends Kudallur to an exotic place. This river had set the background for a number of films and serials. Among them, Mahayanam - a Mammootty film, was able to extract the beauty of the river to maximum. Rivers of Bharathappuzha and Thootha merges at Kudallur and flows into Arabian Sea (at Ponnani). Kariyannoor Railway Bridge is almost at this merging point. The people of Kudallur had a great affection towards the river and were much connected to it. At present, it is so sad that grassy forests had aquired a major share of river and the remaining parts are in the hands of sand-miners. The main areas through which people on each sides of river got connected are: kadavu at Kootakadavu to Paruthoor, Jaram kadavu and Perasanoor kadavu to Persanoor in Malappuram district. Besides the river, streams of Kumanthodu, Mambilli Chola, Cherath chola, Pavitta Chola and Malamakkavu Chira also serves the need for water in the village.
