Hindus and Muslims reside here in an almost equal number. It is interesting that their lives only one Christian family in the village. But they have no Church here. Vazhakavu, Malamalkavu and Siva Temples are the main Hindu religiuos centres in the village. Kudallur Pazhaya Palli (now undergoing reconstruction works), Masjid -Thaqva, Manniyamperumbalam Masjid are the main masjids or muslim worhip centres. The first temple in Kerala is near Kudallur, at Panniyur. Hindu-Muslim unity of the village is well appreciated during the 1920’s, the age in which the struggle against the British policy of 'divide and rule' became powerful in Malabar. The British people used to divide Hindus and Muslims by spreading false stories and much. But this rumours had nothing to do with Kudallur’s unity. Another interesting fact which has to be highlighted is that Juma Masjid and Temple at Kudallur is only metres away from each other and was built in the land having the same survey number. Both worship centres still resembles the unity of Kudallur.
