Kudallur has its own place among the different Ayurvedic traditions of the Nila region. The beginning was when Thitheemu Umma from Peringatuthodi ayurvedic family started her dedicted service in the village. Her son, Dr. P. Hurair Kutty is one of the most popular Ayurvedic Doctor in Kerala. An ayurvedic hospital in memory of Thitheemu Umma is soon to be inaugurated in Kudallur.
