The simple way to get a ration card!

The online system for submission of application forms for Ration Cards has gone live across Kerala from September 01, 2010. e-Services of Ration Cards is a service provided by the Department of Civil Supplies, government of Kerala for the citizen to avail the ration card services on-line from anywhere.

How to Apply

An applicant has to use the ‘Citizen Login’ on the Civil Supplies website to access the service. After filling in all the details online in Malayalam, a print out of the form has to be submitted along with the relevant documents at the Taluk Supply Office for verification. The new Ration Card can be issued in one day if all the documents are in place. Those who don’t have Internet access can approach the nearest Akshaya Centre for this service, which will also accept the forms.

All the services associated with Ration Cards that are required by the citizens would be web enabled over the next few months. Apart from applying for new Ration Cards, addition of names, change of address, Reduction Certificate, Surrender Certificate, etc, are some services that will be available. Plans are also in place to introduce Transfer option once the details of the 68 lakh ration cards in the state are uploaded on the server.
